The Woodworking Shed Update

After 3 months of preparation making the benches with the boys from the XMRC, we have had them delivered and installed and they are now ready for action!

They look amazing!

Well done to the Woodwork Ladies and a massive thank you to XMRC for allowing us to do this and having the patience and humour to deal with us ladies throughout the process!

Watch this space as lots of new projects and small workshops will be happening this year at the Playford Women’s Shed!

Wool Donations Needed! 🧶

We’re looking for donations of wool or yarn to help knit and crochet blankets for local & international charities. Every ball of yarn helps us bring warmth and comfort to those in need.

If you have any spare wool tucked away in cupboards or craft boxes, we’d love to give it new life!

I’m Kena, a member of the beautiful Playford Women’s Shed & I will be starting up a youth group in the Shed for girls and women aged 13 to 25.

If you feel like you would love to be part of this sisterhood, please come hang out with us at the Playford Women’s Shed and see all about what we do and what will be happening in the sister squad. We’ll be looking forward to meeting new friends and having a awesome time!

MASSAGE

Now the Health, Wellness and Beauty room is up and running, Raelene is offering her relaxing massages on Thursday afternoons from 1.30pm. Fundraising for the Shed for the cost of $10 for half an hour!

Cheryl's Nails

This is new fundraising initiative for the Playford Women’s Shed now available in our Health, Wellness and Beauty room.

Cheryl is a self taught nail artist and will now be available every Tuesday from 10:30am – 12:30pm & 1:00pm – 3:00pm and Thursday mornings from 10:30am – 12:30pm.

Bookings are essential!

FINANCIAL COUNSELLING

Financial Counselling with Ali is back at The Playford Women’s Shed for 2026,

every second Monday morning from 9.30am to 11am!

Sing out if you are having any issues with debts or bills and we can work through it together. Financial Counselling can offer you information and options to assist you in dealing with any debts or financial issues. Ali can also advocate for you with creditors if needed. Financial counselling is completely free, independent and confidential (we have the use of the Health, Wellness & Beauty room for privacy).

CHAIR YOGA IS BACK!

Hey ladies,

At last the Health, Wellness and Beauty room is ready to go into action!

Chair Yoga classes are now every Monday (check the weekly schedule for times). Those of you that joined in before, hope this day is good for you and for those that were thinking about it, get up off your bum and come join us for a gentle but worthwhile little workout with lots of laughs along the way!
